Questions, answered
Free and Pro, your leagues, DPX and DMX, and billing
These are the questions people send me most. If yours isn't here, email support@dynastyfootballfan.com and I'll answer within 48 hours, usually a good bit faster.

Free and Pro
What's free and what's Pro?
Everything on the site is free until Pro launches on March 1, 2027. From then, a free account keeps full DMX for every past class, the top 5 at each position in this year's class, DPX deciles and ranks for every player, the stats pages, and one league of your choice with every weekly tool and its Tuesday email. Pro adds this year's whole rookie class, the DPX scores and the parts behind them, every league you run, Player Compare, the Ask anything boxes and the dynasty value on the player card. The full list is on the Pricing page.
How much is Pro?
$49 a year or $6.99 a month. The first 250 Founding Members pay $29 a year for life, as long as they subscribe by May 31, 2027. Stripe adds sales tax or VAT at checkout where it applies.
When can I buy Pro?
Pro goes on sale to everyone on March 1, 2027. People on the Founding list can buy from February 15, two weeks early.
I signed up before Pro launched. What happens to me?
You keep everything you have now through May 31, 2027, every league included. On June 1 your account becomes a free one unless you join Pro, and if you've connected more than one league, you pick the one that stays free.
Do I need an account?
Only to connect your leagues. Everything free on the site is open to anyone, signed in or not.

Your free league
How does the free league work?
A free account opens one league, and you pick it on My Leagues. Your other leagues stay connected and keep syncing, so they open the moment you go Pro, with nothing to reconnect.
Why are all my leagues locked?
You have two or more leagues and haven't picked your free one yet. Pick it on My Leagues and that league opens right away.
Can I change my free league?
Yes. Email me from the address on your account and tell me which league you want, and I'll switch it.
My free league was deleted. Now what?
If your free league is deleted or disconnected, you can pick a new one yourself on My Leagues.

Leagues and syncing
Which fantasy platforms work?
MFL and Sleeper. Yahoo is built, but Yahoo approves every app that reads fantasy leagues by hand, and that approval hasn't come through yet.
How do I connect a league?
On My Leagues. For MFL, sign in with your MFL username and password and I'll find every league you're in, or add one by its league ID. For Sleeper, enter your Sleeper username.
How often do my leagues update?
Rosters sync early every morning. While games are on, scores sync every five minutes and the live pages redraw every minute. Projections are set Tuesday morning and refreshed Thursday, Saturday and Sunday before kickoff.
My Sleeper league shows no rosters or games.
A Sleeper league that hasn't held its draft yet has nothing to show until it does. A league deleted on Sleeper drops off after a few days. If it's neither of those, email me the league name.
My MFL league won't sync.
MFL's servers drop connections now and then, and the next sync usually catches up. If it's still failing a day later, email me the league ID.

DPX and DMX
What's the difference between DMX and DPX?
DMX grades a player as a prospect, from his college production, athletic testing and draft capital, measured against every draft class since 2000. It doesn't move with his NFL games. DPX grades what he's doing in the NFL, per game and per opportunity. More in What is DMX? and What is DPX?
What's DPX Base and DPX Now?
DPX Base is last season's grade, the line a player started this year on. DPX Now is the same measurement run on this season so far. Put them side by side and you can see who's playing above or below last year.
What does a decile mean?
D1 is the top and D10 the bottom. A DPX decile splits each position into ten equal groups, so a D1 receiver is in the top tenth of receivers. A DMX decile uses fixed cut-offs, the same for every class, so a strong class can have more D1s than a weak one.
Why did a player's DPX decile change?
DPX Now updates early every Tuesday with the week before's games. Early in the season one big game moves a player a long way, and that settles down as the games pile up. DPX Base changes once a year, when last season becomes the new Base.
Can a DMX score change?
Rarely. It's a draft grade, so it only changes when one of its inputs is corrected, like a draft pick we had wrong.
What are Vol, Scr and Eff?
The parts of DPX: Volume is how much he's used, Scoring is his touchdowns per game, and Efficiency is what he does with each chance. They add up to the DPX score. For defenders the parts are Volume, Big Plays and Pressure.
Why can't I see this year's rookies?
From launch, this year's class is Pro, apart from the top 5 at each position, which everyone sees. Every class before it is free in full.

Data and accuracy
Why don't your points match my league's?
Projections and DPX use generic PPR scoring, plus standard IDP scoring for defenders, not your league's own rules. The Actual column on the Projections page is the exception: that's your platform's own score, in your league's scoring.
Where does your data come from?
NFL stats come from nflverse, the open football data project. Rosters, lineups and scores come straight from MFL and Sleeper. DMX also uses college production, Combine and pro-day testing, and draft records.
When do injuries show up?
Roster moves like IR and suspensions show up the morning after they happen. The NFL's practice report comes out Wednesday to Friday, and game designations like Out and Doubtful land Friday afternoon. Projections pick them up at the next refresh.
I think a number is wrong.
Email me the player, the page and what you expected to see. Getting the numbers right is the whole point of this site, so I check every one of these.

Account and billing
How do I cancel Pro?
Sign in, open the Pricing page and press Manage billing. That opens Stripe's billing page, where you cancel. Pro stays on to the end of the period you paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. A full refund within 14 days of any payment, no questions asked: email me from the address on your account. After 14 days, an annual plan can get a pro-rated refund at my discretion, and a monthly plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. The refund policy has the details.
Who charges my card?
Stripe. It's the merchant of record for Pro, so the payment and any sales tax or VAT go through Stripe.
Annual or monthly?
Annual is the better deal. $49 a year works out to about $4.08 a month, against $6.99 on the monthly plan.
How do I stop your emails?
Every email has a link at the bottom. The Tuesday league email and my announcement emails each have their own switch, and the newsletter has its own unsubscribe.
How do I change my email address?
Email me from your current address with the new one, and I'll change it.
How do I delete my account?
Email me from the address on your account and I'll delete it, along with your leagues and everything tied to them. The newsletter is separate, so unsubscribe from it too if you want it gone.

Founding Members and invites
What's a Founding Member?
The first 250 people to subscribe by May 31, 2027 pay $29 a year instead of $49, for as long as they stay subscribed. Cancel or take a refund and the Founding price goes with it, and the spot goes back to the pool while the window is open.
What's the Founding list?
It opens on Black Friday, November 27. Everyone on it can buy Pro from February 15, two weeks before the public, so you're first in line for the 250 spots. Getting on it costs nothing and needs no card.
How do league invites work?
Share your league's weekly page with your leaguemates. One leaguemate who joins through your link guarantees you a Founding spot. Three who subscribe earn you a free Founding year, and five earn you a second. The invite rules have the fine print.
